Super Mario Looks to Fly in 2023!

The 2023 Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin' USA Dirt Late Model Series season is about to launch on April 1st, at "The Battlefield" Cochran Motor Speedway for the first race of the national touring series season. The opening event will be the first of many $10,000 to win events on the calendar and it will also serve as the opening race of the E-Z-GO $100,000+ Challenge. The roster that is building to tour with the series continues to grow as well. The latest addition is "Super Mario" Mario Gresham the driver out of Rome, Georgia.

Gresham has already collected one checkered flag in 2023 winning at Whynot Motorsports Park on March 4th. He's coming off a very strong Winter Shootout Series as well scoring 1 Top 5 and 3 Top 10's in 4 starts. The Top 5 was a runner up to Ashton Winger at Eastbay Raceway Park back on January 26th. Mario intends to hunt for his very first Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin' USA Dirt Late Model Series championship in 2023 and has some good tracks to get him started, including the firs to in his home state of Georgia. April 1st at Cochran and then his home track will hold race number two of the season Rome Speedway on April 15th.

The upcoming season will be Gresham's first attempt at chasing the entire Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin' USA Dirt Late Model Series season. He has five career CRUSA series starts, two in 2015 and 3 in 2022. His career best finish in the series came on October 1st, during the 2nd Annual - Red Farmer Tribute weekend at the Talladega Short Track. He'll look to build on that and hunt for more in 2023 with his #21 Twisted Performance powered Longhorn.
